Choose the Right Trolley for Your Workplace

The trolleys that can make your job a little easier

A normal day at work can involve lifting a lot of items, both large and small. We have trolleys that are ideal for almost any type of package, regardless of its size, weight and location. Most also allow you to move several things at the same time and have a working height that protects your back. But what type of trolley is best for your workplace?

Moving things around the office

In the office, you need trolleys that are easy to manoeuvre and designed for moving lighter items such as office supplies, documents and boxes. If you often move the same type of things around, a document trolley or storage furniture on castors could be a good option. This allows you to move the entire contents easily and avoid unnecessary loading and unloading.

Table trolleys and shelf trolleys are versatile solutions in the office that are easy to load and unload. With two or three flat shelves, they are designed for moving office supplies such as copy paper.

File trolleys for suspension files are perfect if you have a large amount of organised documents which often need to be moved or which you want to be able to put out of the way easily when you are not working with them.

Folder trolleys ensure that folders and binders stand upright and can easily be moved when needed.

Basket trolleys are practical trolleys with one or more baskets for smaller items. They are ideal for use as mail trolleys.

Conferences, events and dining rooms

Moving furniture is much easier if you have chair trolleys and table trolleys with folding tables. It should be easy to increase or reduce the number of seats in meeting rooms and conference rooms or at temporary events such as trade fairs and exhibitions.

Catering trolleys are the ideal solution for canteens, restaurants, and school dining rooms. With surfaces that are easy to wipe off, they make cleaning easy, which, of course, is important in environments where food is served.

Table trolleys, which are available in several versions, are also useful here. You can use them to transport marketing materials, coffee cups or to demo products.

High platform trolleys made of stainless steel are easy to keep clean and are therefore perfect for use in dining rooms, kitchens and restaurants. The higher platform of the trolleys makes it easier for staff to lift items on and off without having to bend down and risk straining their backs.

Trolleys for warehouses and factories

Shop and warehouse trolleys help you move larger items and often have only one shelf. They are ideal for use in warehouse stores. Some of these trolleys have suspension, which means that the height of the platform changes depending on the weight of the load.

Roll containers or parcel cages are platform trolleys with two or more mesh sides that are designed for transporting parcels and boxes. The mesh sides keep the load in place, while the open sides make the trolley easy to load and unload. There is also the option of a lockable safety container if you need to prevent unauthorised access to the goods.

Distribution trolleys are ideal for storing and transporting packages of different sizes. The trolleys are available in several sizes, usually with removable side grilles or gates so that they can be loaded and unloaded easily.

Board trolleys make it easy to handle and move lighter sheet materials such as chipboard, sheets of glass, sheet metal or other flat goods.

Picking trolleys simplify picking work in both warehouses and workshops and are suitable for transporting lighter goods. Some models have a fold-out ladder that allows you to reach things a little higher up on the shelves.

TIPS! Flexible parcel management

The MANOR roll container can handle weights up to 400kg. One long side is open to make loading and unloading as simple as possible. The parcel cage is straightforward to manoeuvre because of its easy-roll castors, two of which swivel. Ideal for stackable goods that are packed in boxes and cartons.

Bin trolleys are bin racks on castors. The plastic bins are excellent for storing small items and they can easily be moved using the trolley.

Tool trolleys or mobile tool drawers make it easy to move workshop items to where they are currently needed. You do not have to carry the tools, but you still have them within easy reach at all times. The top shelf of tool trolleys is often covered with a rubber mat, which means that it can also be used as a work surface.

Shelf trolleys in a more robust design are perfect solutions for warehouses and workshops. If there is a risk that the items will fall off while the trolley is moving, spread the load over different shelves and choose a model with raised edges. The taller versions with several shelves can also be used for storage.

Lifting trolleys are ideal for use as workbenches and for lifting and transporting heavy items.

Long material trolleys are an excellent choice for transporting heavy, large and very long goods such as boards, pipes and rods. These trolleys are available in several different lengths and the largest has a load capacity of 3.5 tonnes.

Flatbed trolleys come in many forms and can be used in most businesses. The most robust trolleys can handle loads of up to 650kg. Their heavy-duty wheels with roller bearings make the trolleys easy to move even when they are loaded with heavy items. Flatbed trolleys are available both with and without sides.

Platform trolleys are perfect for moving slightly larger boxes and sacks, for example. They are ideal for transporting newly arrived deliveries to the warehouse or restaurant kitchen.
