It's full speed ahead at Boozt, an e-commerce company that delivers fashion to customers daily. Behind the scenes, Boozt places great importance on looking after its employees. In order to enhance ergonomics and streamline workflows, the company decided to make improvements at its expansive warehouse in Ängelholm. Partnering with our warehouse optimisation experts, Boozt initiated a process of positive change, ensuring a better work environment for its team.

The atmosphere buzzes from the machines that slide along rails on the ceiling. It's an impressive sight, showcasing the cutting-edge technology behind Boozt’s state-of-the-art robotic warehouse. The picking work is done automatically, but several important steps require a human hand. New goods that come in need to be registered and all orders are packed by the staff.

A good day at work - every day

At Boozt, fostering a great working environment is a core part of the business. Better ergonomics with new packing tables

Flexibility is key when it comes to creating workstations that suit everyone, regardless of height. Adjustable tables play a crucial role in reducing the risk of repetitive strain injuries. With the introduction of electric height-adjustable tables at Boozt, employees can now effortlessly raise or lower their workstations at the push of a button. The ease of adjustment encourages frequent use, significantly improving ergonomics and comfort by ensuring an ideal working height.
Another challenge was improving access to packing materials. Reaching for supplies in awkward positions puts unnecessary strain on the body, something Boozt was eager to avoid. To solve this, Magnus introduced smart additions to the packing tables - shelves that move with the table as it’s adjusted. Now, essential materials are always within easy reach, creating a more efficient and ergonomic packing process.
What I appreciate most is being able to adjust the table to a height that suits me, so I don’t experience pain in my back or shoulders.

In the delivery department, staff often found it challenging to fit items on the tables properly when unpacking, with products often falling to the floor. This issue was resolved by introducing new work tables with larger surfaces and a wide cutting edge at the back to keep items securely in place. These upgraded workstations also feature electric height adjustments, ensuring optimal ergonomics for every employee.

Saving time with packing trolleys and rolling tables

To make refilling packaging materials at workstations more efficient, customised packaging trolleys were introduced. These trolleys allow staff to easily access the materials they need and they include a convenient shelf for holding boxes while they’re being folded. Beyond saving time, the trolleys offer the added benefit of storing larger packaging materials, freeing up valuable space at the packing stations.
Magnus also provided an innovative solution in the form of a rolling table. This allows staff to move around the warehouse with equipment like computers and handheld scanners. The flexibility of having a mobile mini-office not only simplifies tasks but also saves time, improving overall workflow.

Better job satisfaction means increased productivity

When the steps in doing your job are simplified, the work immediately becomes easier and more enjoyable. At the new workstations, frequently used materials are within easy reach. Everything has its place and no time is wasted searching. Unnecessary time wasters and annoyances disappear. A few minutes here and there can add up to quite a lot in an entire working day.
